1.		What is a SharePoint Web Site ? SharePoint Web Sites are pre-designed web sites that contain a wide range available services. When you subscribe to a SharePoint Web Site everything you need to get started using SharePoint is all ready and waiting for you. You can customize your web site in a variety of ways using tools included with SharePoint, or you can download and install one or more web site templates that include a variety of predetermined customizations. 2.		Does a SharePoint Web site include search functionality? Yes. Windows SharePoint Services provides powerful text-based search features that help you and your users find documents and information fast.

3.		Are SharePoint Web Sites secure? SharePoint-based Web sites can be password-protected to restrict access to registered users. Site administrators can restrict certain members roles by assigning different permission levels to view, post and edit.

4.		How do I invite users to join a Windows SharePoint Services Site? SharePoint site administrators can invite users to join a via e-mail. When you add a new user you may specify the users email address and request that SharePoint send an invitation be emailed to them. You can customize the contents of your invitation, and your invitation provides the user with a unique user identification code and password.

5.		What types of document can I post to my SharePoint web site? You can post documents in many standard formats, such as .xml, .doc, .pdf, .htm, etc. In addition, if you are using Microsoft Office XP or later then you can save documents directly to your Windows SharePoint Services site.

To fully customize your site, you can use Microsoft FrontPage 2003. Specifically, you can use FrontPage themes and shared borders and also use FrontPage to create photo galleries and top ten lists, utilize standard usage reports, and integrate automatic Web content.

For example: Departments Products Projects Team Clients Suppliers Customers etc. The URLs for each will be, for example: http://yoursitename.wss.episharepoint.com/finance http://yoursitename.wss.episharepoint.com/marketing You can manage for sub site separately so that access is restricted while maintaining global access to the parent site.

9.		Can I get domain name for my Web site? Yes. Additional service fees apply for this option.

10.		Are e-mail accounts included with my web site? No, but you may purchase e-mail services separately. EPI supports both standard (POP3) and Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail services.
